Sunday School - Juniors

The Junior group is for children aged between 7-10.

Each weeks lessons are based on a bible passage. The class do a number of things to learn and understand the passage which they are reading.

This is done in a manner of ways:-

  • Acting out part of the story
  • Doing other forms of exercises to bring out the understanding of the key points and themes of the reading such as,
    • craftwork
    • Discussion groups
    • Quizes
    • Exercises in the accompanying "Trailblazers" handouts
The Sunday School teachers try to include activities which are pure fun and help to develop freindships between the children.

Developing good freindships is vital to retaining the children's interest and thier participation in church life as they grow older. To incourage this, the children play games or just chat about issues which are important to them.
