![]() | This is the Wesley Guild emblem which is used for all the Methodist Churches which have a Wesley Guild. |
The Wesley Guild is a church group which meets at Vale Royal at 8PM nearly every Monday evening from late September until mid May. Monthly coffee evenings are held in member's homes during the summer. The Guild has nearly 30 members, both men and women, mostly from vale Royal but a few from other churches in Tunbridge Wells.
One evening each month is a Devotional Evening led by the minister. The other evenings are very varied and are sometimes talks by Guild or church members or sometimes by outside speakers. Topics vary fro Christian service and people talk up or their work, to music, holiday slides, hobbies and literature. Some evenings are arranged that members can join in.
A collection is taken each week and the Guild AGM decides which charities to support.
The members take it in turn to be chairman and to prepare refreshments at the end of the evening. Although most members attend very regularly, anyone is very welcome to come on an occasional basis.
The Guild is a place where very good fellowship is valued and enjoyed, combined with a very interesting and informative program.
